     laser is actually an acronym. It means light amplification by stimulated emmision of radiation. There are many different purposes that lasers have but i'll just touch apon a few. Lasers can cut infected and bad tissue from the body like some doctors use a laser to remove your tonsils. They also use lasers on eye surgery called lasik. Lasers are also used to pin point stars. They help humongous telescopes to focus on them. Scientists use them to do reserch like burning and stuff. they are even on the market for us to buy i even have one.
